Should I file a claim or pay myself?
It depends on the repair cost, your deductible and your policy. We'll give you the repair numbers so you can compare before deciding.

Repairs
Each repair below has its own page explaining what's involved and where the choices usually are. Most damage needs more than one of them, and a single estimate brings them together with the options side by side. You don't need to know the right term. Describe what happened and we'll explain the rest.

Your choices
Not every repair has a choice, but many do. A dented panel can often be repaired instead of replaced, which can save money and keeps the original part. Replacement parts can come new from the vehicle maker, from aftermarket suppliers or from recycled vehicles, and each has its own trade-offs in cost, fit and availability.
Then there's the claim itself. For smaller damage, paying directly may cost less over time than filing and paying a deductible. For larger damage, a claim usually makes sense. We'll give you the numbers so you can compare.
What we won't do is offer a lower-cost option where safety is involved. Structural parts, airbag components and safety sensors are repaired or replaced the way the maker specifies.
Six steps, in order. The choices come early, so there are no surprises later.
We inspect the vehicle in person and note everything that needs attention.

Josephine has grown fast, with new neighborhoods filling in along FM 6 and FM 1553 and more traffic every year. Many drivers commute toward Wylie, Royse City or the Dallas side, using SH 78 to the north or SH 66 to the south. Busy intersections, construction traffic and long stretches of two-lane road all leave their marks.
Country driving brings its own share: gravel shoulders, deer at dusk and rock chips from trucks hauling building materials. Spring storms bring hail most years, and hail repair is one of the clearest places where options matter. Paintless repair, conventional repair and panel replacement can all apply, sometimes on the same vehicle.
Whatever the damage, the approach is the same: a careful look, the options explained and a proper repair once you've decided.

Parts explained
New parts from the vehicle maker are built to the original specifications and usually fit exactly, but they tend to cost the most. Aftermarket parts are made by other companies and can cost less; quality varies, so we only suggest ones we're comfortable installing. Recycled parts come from other vehicles of the same model, are original equipment and can be a good value when they're in sound condition.
Your insurance policy may specify which type it covers. We'll tell you what's allowed, what each choice means for your vehicle and what we'd pick in your position.

Often, yes. If the metal isn't torn or badly stretched, repairing it usually costs less and keeps the original part.
Not necessarily. The workmanship stays the same; we'll be honest if an option might affect fit or finish.
